Ken moved north to Berkeley and developed a hands on, science curriculum for pre school students. He also incorporated one of his other passions; the study of reptiles and amphibians.
In his free time, Ken experimented with acrylic, water color and charcoal. He had his first exhibition in the Berekley Hills which resulted in local press coverage.
Ken focused his work on watercolor and acrylic. He would later be named Berkeley Artist of the Month and continued to display his art for the community.
